So just what is a hackerspace or makerspace?

A MakerSpace is commonly defined as a community orientated workspace, operating on principles of hacker ethics, where members are encouraged to create, learn, make, and share. This session will familiarize participants with the MakerSpace concept and introduce typical MakerSpace equipment including a 3D printer and RaspBerryPI. Finally, this session will discuss the ongoing effort to create a MakerSpace on the UNB Saint John campus.
