Spring4ward Pitch Competition

Spring4ward Pitch Competition

Springboard Atlantic is pleased to be host of the new Spring4ward event on the afternoon of Monday, September 29th. University and college students as well as researchers from the four Atlantic provinces are eligible to apply to pitch their idea or startup with one winner from each province invited to pitch that evening at Invest Atlantic’s PitchCamp Reception. Each Pitcher receives a complimentary registration to attend Invest Atlantic the following day.

This is one of a series of events providing entrepreneurs and students the opportunity to develop a clear and concise pitch of their idea. The pitches are designed to be the first step in helping prepare these entrepreneurs and perhaps those in the audience to develop longer pitches for when they meet real-time investors and potential partners.

After each pitch the pitch-judges will provide direct feedback to the pitchers and the audience will be able to “text vote” for their favourite pitch. All results are tabulated and announced with one winner from each province advancing to Invest Atlantic’s PitchCamp.

The Pitchers:  Up to 12 students and researchers will be pitching, stay tuned!

Apply to Pitch:

Do you have a great business idea? If you answered yes, we want to see you at Pitch101!

This year’s format will provide entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their for-profit business idea for 60 seconds with the provincial winners invited to Invest Atlantic’s PitchCamp later that evening.

Pitchers are asked to provide a short description (100 words) of the business idea that you will pitch. Be sure to include what your product or service is and what customer problem it solves. Also include any relevant information about the current stage of your business idea, such as whether it is still an idea, you have investment, customers, or sales.

Successful applicants will receive a Pitching Guidelines to prepare for a hands-on grooming session with pitching mentors before September 19th.
