Rural Social Justice Centre for Research Lunch and Learn Series

To celebrate the United Nations naming 2014 International Year of Family Farming, and to recognize the incredible role farm families play in providing the fair on our Thanksgiving tables, the Rural Social Justice Centre for Research has organized a four-week lunch and learn series.

Join them on the following Tuesday mornings from 11:30 am — 1:00 pm in the Holy Cross Conference Room at St. Thomas University in Fredericton to explore the following farm issues:

Oct 14: Dynamics of family farming by Dr. Susan Machum, CRC Rural Social Justice

Oct 21: Innovative marketing strategies by Doug Koch, Maple Acres Farm

Oct 28: The next generation on the family farm by Rebéka Frazer-Chiasson, Ferme Terre Partagée

Nov 4: Women’s family farming experiences by Betty Brown, Wakem Hill Veggies & Betty’s Beef

Bring along a mug so that you can enjoy a free cup of soup and a roll made with local ingredients.

For more information, contact Susan Machum at smachum@stu.ca.
